The University Preparatory Course (UPC) focuses on preparing students to take, and succeed in, university entrance exams and guide them in making well-informed choices with regards to universities and majors.

 

Scholarship Applicants

 

We offer partial and full scholarships and loans to academically excelling and financially needy Palestinian students in Lebanon, who want to continue their higher education in Lebanon or abroad.

 

Students on a Scholarship

 

Students on a scholarship receive continuous guidance and support from a team of dedicated and experienced staff. We are available every Wednesday and Friday from 10 - 12:30 and from 13:30 - 16

AUB and LAU Application are now open!

Students in their last year of secondary school (Grade 12) should apply as soon as possible to AUB and LAU. The faster you apply ithe qucker you will receive your result. Scholarships

Here you will find a list of scholarships with brief descriptions and links to their websites.


 

Adelaide International Scholarship

Applicants are assessed according to research potential and academic merit, and must not already hold a Masters degree or PhD. The Scholarship provides tuition fees for two years for a Masters degree by Research and three years for a Doctoral research degree, along with an annual living allowance. 


 

Al Ghurair Foundation for Education - STEM Scholarship

Scholarships are available to Arab citizens that don't have other citizenship. Applicants must be accepted into a partner university, and preference is given to students who have lived in the Arab world for at least 12 years. The Scholarship provdes full financial support along with career advising and internship opportunities.


 

American Association of University Women - International Fellowship

An $18,000 fellowship, this scholarship for women in their first post-graduate degree program. The scholarship requires that the program of study include at least one full year of research for. Requires simultaneous application for the program in the US.


 

AUB Public Health Scholarship

The scholarships target students hoping to work in the Middle East region, originally from Arab countries with a local need for public health graduates. The Scholarships assist students in Masters programs at relevant field in AUB. 

 

AUB Tropical Disease Research Scholarship

The scholarships target students hoping to do research on Tropical Diseases. The Scholarships assist students in Masters programs at relevant field in AUB. The scholarship offers two years of full tuition and stipends for food and accommodation. 


 

American University of Sharjah Graduate Assistantships

The option for Graduate Assistantships is offered to any AUS graduate applicant as part of the standard AUS application. GA at AUS can cover up to 100% of tuition, and requires students to assist in either teaching assistant positions, or lab work. GA is renewable every semester based upon grades. 


 

BOELL

Available before beginning a Masters programme up to the end of the first semester of the Masters program. Requires proficiency in German. Requires, with an application, a professional reference from a professor, as well as a personal reference that reflects your social commitment and political awareness. 


 

British-Lebanese Association

A handful of scholarships are available to students from Lebanon to study in the United Kingdom. Students must be admitted to an appropriate university and meet the requirements of the application. Applicants should note that not all scholarships are available to Palestinian students, and should be diligent in their research to ensure that they qualify. 


 

Chevening

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The Scholarships offer the opportunity to study for a one-year Master’s degree at any of the UK’s leading universities, and are awarded to outstanding established or emerging leaders across a wide range of fields: including Political Science and Public Administration, Energy Sector, Democracy and Good Governance, Law and Human Rights and Media and Communications.


 

Clarendon Fund Scholarship at University of Oxford

Available to any full-time graduate field of study, at Oxford. The scholarships cover tuition and college fees. Approximately 140 scholarships are offered every year. 

 

Oxford Refugee Campaign Scholarships

Intended for students with refugee status, irrespective of their current country of residence. The funding is specifically intended for eligible refugees, and provides full tuition coverage for the recipient. 

 

Rhodes Scholarship at Oxford

This extremely prestigious scholarship based out of the University of Oxford includes full tuition costs and flights to and from the UK, in addition to a program of immense student enrichment and exposure to the program's prestigious alumni and associates. The program only recently opened up to applicants from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine. While the application process is particularly extensive, as well as competitive, dedicated and high performing students are encouraged to apply. 


 

DAAD (in Germany)

The scholarship is intended for students with exceptional performance in their 4 year degrees, who are ideally working in the public or development sector. Women and disadvantaged groups are particularly targeted for the program. Some degree of German language proficiency. Scholarship includes health, accident, and liability insurance, as well as an annual research grant and monthly instalments. 


 

Doha Institute

The Doha Institute offers full tuition waiver scholarships to competent students who are able to clearly demonstrate a strong passion for their programs of study and in serving the Institute's mission. 


 

Erasmus - HERMES

An exchange from 6-24 months, Erasmus Hermes offers a monthly scholarship of 1000 Euros for the length of stay, along with tuition and insurance. Participating schools have their own requirements, limitations, and preferences. 

 

Erasmus - MEDASTAR

Available to students from graduate populations belonging to vulnerable groups in Lebanon to get a Masters diploma at participating EU universities. Requires proficiency in the language of instruction at the target university. 


 

Fullbright Foreign Student Program

Available to Lebanese citizens, as well as long-term Palestinian residents, who are not US citizens. Must have demonstrated academic excellence within their field of study, and must be pursuing a degree with the intent for their study to benefit Lebanese society or Lebanese-American relations. Priority is given to students in the social sciences or humanities. The grant includes travel, tuition, books, health insurance, and room and board.  


 

Gates Cambridge Scholarships for International Students

Available for full-time residential courses of study: PhD (three year research-only degree); MSc or MLitt (two year research-only degree); or a one year postgraduate course, for students at Cambridge who are citizens of any country outside of the United Kingdom. A Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge: Fees, a maintenance allowance, airfare, and visa costs, with possible consideration for family allowance, conference attendance, fieldwork, and hardship.  


 

Goldsmith Humanitarian Scholarships

Students applying to the Goldsmith Humanitarian Scholarship must have applied for a place on a full-time postgraduate taught degree and have an international fee liability. You will also need to demonstrate academic excellence and/or significant achievement in your chosen field of study. Scholarships for Palestinians provide full tuition and living costs for one year, as well as airfare to and from the UK. 


 

Hamad Bin Khalifa University

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) offers scholarships for Palestinian students that can cover the costs of tuition and dorms during a Masters program education. Students with the highest grades are the most likely to receive a scholarship.


 

Khazanah Asia Scholarship Programme

The Khazanah Asia Scholarship Programme offers tuition for a series of Universities in Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Malaysia. In addition to full tuition, and living expenses, recipients of the Khazanah Global Scholarship are provided with leadership training courses and job attachments at leading organisations in Malaysia.


 

KAS (Germany) International Scholarships

The scholarship program is aimed at Palestinian students and graduates who have acquired at least an undergraduate university degree in their home country and who intend to complete postgraduate master or doctoral studies at a university in Germany. The Scholarship covers only postgraduate studies and researches on KAS relevant topics (social & political context) from Palestinian territories or nearby countries. The Student must be active in a social or political context. The KAS scholarship covers tuition and a student stipend. 


 

KSP Excellence Scholarship for Arab Students

KSP is available to nationals from any Arab country to study at the Paris School of International Affairs and Sciences Po. Students must apply to Sciences Po separately from the scholarship application. The scholarship goes towards tuition fees at Sciences Po, and can be renewed for the entirety of study as long as students maintain sufficient academic standing, for a maximum of two years. Multiple scholarships are awarded based on competitiveness, their academic record, and their proposed project at Sciences Po. 


 

KTH Tuition Fee Waivers

The scholarship is available to non-EU/EEA/EFTA residents, as a waiver for tuition fees, for those that have applied to KTH in Sweden as his or her first priority. The scholarship is not available to students that have applied to Erasmus-Mundus and EIT Master's programme. Students must meet the acceptance requirements to attend KTH, and will be expected to finance their living expenses independently. 


 

Lierse Prokop Scholarship

Available to recognized refugees, the grants can be for a semester, a year, or a whole degree program for the applied science fields available. Students must apply to Austrian university programs separately. Proof of the need for support for one's studies is required. 


 

LSE Middle East Centre Emirate Master's Scholarship

The scholarship has a value of £30,000 which will cover full tuition fees with the remainder available to support living expenses in London. Applicants must be nationals of an Arab League member State, which includes Lebanon and Palestine. Applicants must focus their studies on the Middle East (defined as the Arab League, Turkey, Iran, and Israel), and must prove this focus through the modules in which they enrol. It may also be reflected in their dissertation topic. 


 

Lutfia Rabbani Foundation - Mahmoud S. Rabbani Scholarship

Available to Arab-Students who have been accepted into a Masters or a PhD programme in the Netherlands, candidates should have a good knowledge of English (or the language of study if it is not in English). Students are assessed on academic excellence, personal growth, financial need, and motivation in line with the foundation's goals. The MSR Scholarship covers tuition and living expenses of up to €15,000 in one academic year. 


 

Maastricht University High Potential Scholarships for International Students

The scholarship is intended for students outside of the EU/EEA who have demonstrated excellent results in their previous studies, among the top 5% of their class. Students are assessed based on the level of their previous programs, their academic scores, and their personal motivation. GRE scores are also required. The scholarship includes a monthly stipend, tuition fees, visa fees, and insurance.


 

Malaysia International Scholarships

Malaysia International Scholarships are available to students interested in pursuing an English language course of study at a Malaysian university. Students must have reached a 3.5 or higher in the their undergraduate institution, and been accepted by the proposed university of study. Priority study areas for the scholarship include technological and developmental fields, such as Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, or Economics and Islamic Finance. The Scholarship covers air travel, approved tuition fees, a monthly allowance, relevant research grants, and visa costs.


 

Masdar Scholarship

Post-graduate scholarships at the Masdar institute are available to students interested in pursuing a degree in the STEM fields. Students will need to submit academic records, as well as GRE and TOEFL scores, among other documents. Scholarships from the Masdar Institute include 100% of tuition fees, required textbooks and a laptop, reimbursement for GRE and TOEFL exams, housing, a monthly stipend, insurance, and an annual ticket to return to the country of origin. Students may also be interested in the BP Innovation scholarship at Masdar for students interested in entrepreneurial endeavors at the sustainable technology field. 


 

Sabanci University Scholarships

SU Master’s degree scholarships cover tuition fee exemption, a monthly stipend and free university housing for 10 months in  the dorms. Admission is finalized by a graduate board for students to attend Sabanci in Turkey. Applicants may be called for written exams and interview in English. 


 

Said Foundation

The Said Foundation offers students from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, or Palestine the chance to study in the United Kingdom. The scholarships have no restriction on subject, but preference is given to students whose proposed studies are intended to benefit the development of their home country. Scholarships are primarily offered for one year postgraduate courses but in exceptional circumstances it may be possible to consider applicants for two year courses. They cover tuition fees, full maintenance costs for the duration of the course, an arrival allowance, a thesis allowance, visa fees and one return flight.


 

 St Andrews Education for Palestinian Students (STEPS)

The scholarships is for Palestinian residents in the West Bank, Gaza or one of the camps in Lebanon, students must have completed a first degree at a university in the West Bank or Gaza or Lebanon. Applicants must obtain acceptance from St. Andrews before applying to the scholarship. Scholarships include full tuition fees for one year programs, accommodation fees to cover residential university costs, maintenance stipends of £350 per month, and travel to and from the UK.


 

Swedish Institute

Swedish Institute Study Scholarships are targeted at high performing international students for master's degree programmes. Lebanon and Palestine are among the countries from which candidates receive priority consideration. Students must be independently admitted to a University in Sweden. The Scholarship includes tuition and living expenses. 


 

The Denys Holland Scholarship at University College London

This scholarship is available to students holding an offer of Admission to UCL who are under 25, facing financial hardship, and hope to contribute to campus life can apply to the Denys Holland Scholarship at the University of London. The scholarship consists of £9,000 per year and may be used to pay for personal expenses or towards tuition fees. It is available for yearly renewal based on satisfactory academic progress. 


 

Turkish Government

Available to students applying to public universities in Turkey, Türkiye scholarships are available to students studying for their Bachelors or Masters degree. Türkiye scholarship recipients do not have to pay tuition at their institution. They can also choose to live in public university accommodation free of charge and receive a small stipend, as well as a small travel budget. Türkiye recipients are required to take courses in Turkish language as well. Students must be in the top 75% of their class to receive a Masters or PhD. Scholarship and the top 90% to receive a scholarship to Medical School. Masters students can apply specifically for the Ali Kuşçu Science and Technology Scholarship (in physical or biological sciences, engineering, and technology), or the İbni Haldun Social Sciences Scholarship (in the social sciences).


 

University of Bradford Development Scholarships

Worth approximately £25,000, the Development Scholarship at the University of Bradford is available to students from select countries. The scholarship includes full tuition and accommodation costs, as well as an annual living stipend of £4,200 distributed in three instalments. Students must meet a basic level of English proficiency and graduate from their Bachelor's degree program with a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5/4.0.


 

University of Melbourne International Research Scholarships

Scholarships are available to international students graduating from the top of their class and applying to Masters Research Degrees or Ph.D programs at the University of Melbourne. The scholarship may include (according to need) a housing allowance, travel stipend, full fee remission and health insurance. The scholarship is granted to students with an average score between 80-100% in their undergraduate program, or the equivalent of first class honors at an Australian university.  


 

University of Twente Scholarship for International Students

UTS Scholarships have a a value of € 6,000 – € 25,000. They are available to international students who do not qualify for a Dutch Study grant, and may be extended to provide the same amount during the second year of study at the Unversity of Twente where applicable. Students must meet the University's standards of admissions in addition to the scholarship's, and be prepared to take courses in English, including proving proficiency.  Scholarship holders will also participate in one of three honors programs, based upon their area of study.  


 

Westminster International Scholarships

Students must hold an offer for full-time enrollment into a Master's program at the University of Westminster.  If granted, international scholarships include a full tuition award, accommodation, a stipend for living expenses, and flights to and from London.

 

Westminster Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships for Developing Countries

Available to international students from a developing country who hold an offer for full-time enrolment in a Masters program. The scholarship includes full tuition costs, accommodations, living expenses and flights to and from London.
