University Preparatory Course

The University Preparatory Course (UPC) focuses on preparing students to take, and succeed in, university entrance exams. While a focus is given to the SAT, this also includes English language proficiency exams, such as TOEFL and IELTS. Globally, students are offered 2-3 years of SAT preparation classes by their schools before they sit for the test. However, this is not the case for students enrolled in the UNRWA or the Lebanese public schools. Unlike their more privileged peers, they are neither informed nor prepared to sit for the exam that is one of the main pre-requisites for entrance into university.

The University Preparatory Course is implemented over an intensive two-year cycle, where we work with 11th and 12th grade students on a group and individual basis through counseling sessions that are multifaceted and all encompassing. This includes career guidance, application assistance, personal advancement guidance and professional development. Furthermore, to ensure that our students receive the best possible support, the Bridge Program continues to provide the counseling and mentorship throughout the students’ university years and beyond, giving our program an actual longevity of 5-6 years.
